Afghan Ambassador to Seoul submitted his credential letter

H.E. Mohammad Karim Rahimi, the Ambassador and Special Representative to Seoul submitted his credential letter to H.E. Roh Moo-hyun, the President of South Korea, on the February 15, 2008.

In the meeting after submitting the credential letter, H.E. Mohammad Karim Rahimi presented the greeting and best wishes of Hamid Karzai, the President of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to him.

He also expressed his condolences for kidnapping of Korean Citizens in a few months ago by the enemies of peace and stability in Afghanistan and informed about the security situations in Afghanistan.

“Due to the several decades of war and instability, all infrastructures in Afghanistan either has been destroyed completely or extremely damaged”, He said.

He also added that, through the several recent years, Afghanistan has achieved considerable progress and accomplishments with the help of International Community in establishing and strengthening of national institutions such as, army, police and other institutions.

On the contrary, the President of South Korea with expressing gratitude to the President of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan for unprecedented efforts for rescuing the South Korean hostages said the projects by the Korean Government which have been hold, will be restarted and expanded.

At last, the Afghan Ambassador expressed his appreciations for sending PRT to Parwan Province.
