Ministry of Foreign Affairs Commemorates Mohammad Wali Khan Darwazi
KABUL – Ministry of Foreign Affairs convenes a two-day seminar commemorating the personality and achievements of the former Foreign Minister Mohammad Wali Khan Darwazi at the Storay Palace.
Participants included cabinet members, parliamentarians, members of Diplomatic Corp, academics, scholars and government officials.
Minister of Foreign Affairs H.E. Salahuddin Rabbani delivering the opening statement, spoke about Darwazi’s personality and achievements as well as his struggles and ideals as a constitutionalist.
Among the speakers was Mr. Rahmatullah Bezhanpour, a writer and a cultural activist, who shared with the participants the highlights of an in-depth study he conducted into Darwazi’s personality.
H.E. Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, Chief Executive of the National Unity Government participated in the event as the Chief Guest who delivered speech on the personality and achievements of Darwazi as well.
At the end of the seminar’s opening session, Chief Executive Dr. Abdullah and Foreign Minister Rabbani proceeded to unveil the photo exhibition of the former Foreign Minister Darwazi. The opening session ended with a group photo and the first academic session started off.
Three academic sessions of the seminar are to be held in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for two days.
