The Second Regional Economic Cooperation Conference on Afghanistan was held in New Delhi on 18-19th November 2006.
The conference reviewed the implementation of the December 2005 Kabul Declaration on Regional Economic Cooperation. Participants explored ways to strengthen cooperation in the areas of electricity, transport, trade, investment and agriculture, while promoting capacity building and focusing on regional projects.

CICMA to be Transformed into Security and Cooperation Forum

The Conference on Interaction and Confidence-building Measures in Asia (CICMA) is expected to be transformed into Conference for Security and Cooperation (CSC), Kazinform refers to the press service of the Kazakh MFA.The members of the forum are believed to sign Regulation on the CICMA Confidence-building Measures Catalogue enablers. It will define the joint actions for struggle against new threats and challenges, and cooperation in economic, ecological, humanitarian and military-political fields.
