Foreign Ministry Holds Graduation Ceremony for 23rd Round of Politics-Diplomacy Course
Kabul – The 23rd round of graduation of Politics-Diplomacy Course of the Institute of Diplomacy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was held in Kabul with the participation of Minister of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan H.E. Salahuddin Rabbani as well as ambassadors and representatives of foreign countries resident in Kabul.
This one-year course was attended by 116 staff members from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other various government entities, out of whom, 97 attendees successfully completed the program.
Congratulating the attendees on the occasion, the Foreign Minister stated, “The Politics-Diplomacy program, within the scope of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is one of the few educational opportunities in the country that covers topics such as: international relations, security studies, regional studies, crisis management, protocol, and negotiation skills in a specialized manner. Participants of this program, receive the opportunity to profoundly and practically get familiar with the scope of work of Afghanistan’s foreign policy and the country's diplomatic apparatus.”
This is to be mentioned that within the scope of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Institute of Diplomacy, different programs are conducted with a view to enhance the skills and build the capacities of the Foreign Ministry personnel. In 2018, around 92 employees completed courses on English, French, Arabic, Turkish and Chinese languages. Likewise, in the same year, 176 young diplomats were sent to The United States, China, India, France, Russia, Netherlands, Turkey, South Korea, Japan, Estonia and other countries to attend short term courses as well as higher education.
