China’s Ambassador Designate Calls on Acting Foreign Minister
KABUL – Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs H.E. Idrees Zaman met with the Ambassador Designate of the People’s Republic of China Mr. Wang Yu, this morning.
Ambassador Designate Wang Yu called on Acting Minister Zaman preceding the ceremony held at Presidential Palace whereby he was to present his Credentials.
The Chinese newly appointed Ambassador, in this meeting, assured Acting Minister Zaman of his best efforts in strengthening the bilateral relations through enhanced mutual cooperation between the two friendly neighboring countries.
Acting Minister Zaman, commending the strong bilateral ties between Afghanistan and China, welcomed the Chinese Ambassador Designate to Afghanistan and wished him the best of success in his important tenure.
Ambassador Wang Yu has previously represented China in important diplomatic capacities. Prior to his posting as Chinese Ambassador to Kabul, he served as the Chinese Consul General to Karachi.
