Acting Foreign Minister Receives the Outgoing Ambassador of Sri Lanka in Kabul to Bid Farewell
KABUL – Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs H.E. Idrees Zaman met with the outgoing Ambassador of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka to Kabul Mr. Gagan Pulasthi Bulathsinghala, this morning.
Having completed his tenure as the Sri Lanka’s Ambassador to Kabul, Mr. Gagan called on Foreign Minister to bid farewell and discuss issues of mutual interest before ending his Afghanistan mission.
At the outset H.E. Zaman congratulated Ambassador Gagan for his service in Afghanistan and wished him success in his future endeavors. H.E Zaman underlined to have close cooperation with Sri Lanka’s future ambassador to Afghanistan. Foreign Minister also congratulated the government and people of Sri Lanka for the successful election of the new president.
Ambassador Gagan renewed his country’s cooperation and commitment toward peace process in Afghanistan and thanked Foreign Minister for cooperation of his office during his term in Afghanistan.
