French Ambassador Calls On Acting Foreign Minister
KABUL – Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs H.E. Idrees Zaman met with the Ambassador of France to Kabul Mr. David Martinon, this morning.
The meeting focused on a range of issues of mutual interest.
The two sides talked about the Afghan government’s peace efforts and the recent developments.
Foreign Minister Zaman briefed Ambassador Martinon on the 7 Point Peace Plan.
Both sides emphasized on the need for Intra-Afghan peace talks and the importance of a parallel ceasefire.
The two sides also discussed and exchanged views on aspects of bilateral relations, including a possible collaboration between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Institute of Diplomacy and its French counterpart.
