Memorial Statue of Mahmud Tarzi Unveiled
KABUL – Acting Foreign Minister Idrees Zaman unveiled the Memorial Statue of Mahmud Tarzi, the first Foreign Minister who served the sovereign Afghanistan after claiming independence in 1919. This ceremony was attended by directors and deputy directors of the Foreign Ministry.
H.E Idrees Zaman called the efforts of Mahmud Tarzi in establishing and organizing Afghanistan’s foreign relations commendable.
This event was held to continue celebration of centennial of Afghanistan’s Foreign Relations’ Reestablishment. The Memorial Statue of has been built within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, close to the Storay Palace.
