Afghan Consulate Inaugurated in Hyderabad-India
HYDERABAD – The new Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan was inaugurated in Hyderabad city of India.
As per the instruction of the President of Afghanistan, the Afghan Deputy Foreign Minister for Management and Resources Ms. Nahid Esar and the Minister of Home, Prisons, Fire Services of Telangana Mr. Mohammad Mahmood Ali jointly inaugurated the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Hyderabad, the common capital of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh states of India.
The goal of opening this mission is to further benefit Afghanistan of the trade and other economic opportunities and expand trade between Afghanistan and South India as well as to provide necessary consulate services for the Indian and Afghan nationals residing in this region.
With the opening of this Consulate General, the Afghan missions in India reached three destinations.
The Deputy Foreign Minister for Management and Resources Ms. Nahid Esar who has been traveling to India for this purpose, separately met with the Governor of Telengana Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan in her office.
During the meeting, both sides insisted that the opening of the new Afghan Mission in Hyderabad is a necessary and important step towards the enhancement of trade between the two countries. They also added that this would be a good start to attract Indian investment in Afghanistan.
