KABUL – Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Idrees Zaman met with the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Kabul Mr. Ovezov Hoja Sapargeldiyewich.
The meeting began with congratulating the new year, 2020 and wishing the expansion of future endeavors and cooperation between the two countries.
The Turkmen Ambassador stated that Turkmenistan would celebrate its 25th anniversary of its neutrality during a ceremony held on December 11-12, with the participation of Presidents of the regional countries.
Meanwhile, Mr. Sapargeldiyewich presented the invitation letter of his country’s president to Mr. Zaman, which invites the President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to participate in the ceremony of the 25th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s neutrality.
Minister Zaman expressed his gratitude and wished success to the government of Turkmenistan in celebrating the 25th anniversary of its neutrality. He further praised Turkmenistan’s neutrality related to the Afghanistan’s issues.
The two sides also spoke on joint economic and regional connectivity projects calling the year 2020 a good start toward implementation of joint projects and strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.
