KABUL – Acting Foreign Minister, Mohammad Haneef Atmar met with the outgoing Ambassador of Kingdom of Netherlands to Kabul, Mr. Ernst Albert Noorman, this afternoon.
At the outset, Minister Atmar expressed appreciation to Ambassador Noorman for his efforts in strengthening bilateral ties between the two countries during his tenure in Afghanistan and wished him success in his future endeavours. In response, the Dutch Ambassador thanked the Minister for maintaining close and friendly relations between his office and the Dutch Embassy in Kabul.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on recent developments in the region, discussed progress on the Afghan peace process, the resumption of intra-Afghan negotiations, and the importance of regional and international consensus on the Afghan peace process.
In closing, the Minister expressed appreciation for the continued support of the Netherlands to Afghanistan and both sides emphasised their commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.
