Foreign Minister Received Pakistani Ambassador in Kabul
KABUL - Foreign Minister Mohammad Haneef Atmar met with Mansoor Ahmad Khan, Pakistani Ambassador to Kabul, to discuss continued cooperation on advancing the Afghan peace process.
Touching on the latest developments in the Afghan peace process and preparations for the next round of peace talks in Turkey, Foreign Minister discussed the details of the emerging national consensus on the Roadmap for Peace, proposed by the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.
The two sides stressed the significance of continued bilateral and multilateral engagements and cooperation for the success of the Afghan peace talks.
The Pakistani ambassador underscored the importance of Afghanistan's stability for boosting connectivity and strengthening economic cooperation in the region and assured the Foreign Minister of his country's support for the peace process.
