MoFA condemns Terrorist Attack on a Catholic Church in Indonesia
KABUL – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan strongly condemns last Sunday's suicide attack on a Catholic church in the city of Makassar, Indonesia, that wounded 20 people.
These terrorist attacks are against all universally accepted values and norms for peaceful coexistence between followers of different religions worldwide.
Being a victim of terrorism and violence, Afghanistan has repeatedly stressed that attacking places of worship and religious centers, targeting civilians, and destroying infrastructure are against the sacred teachings of Islam and in flagrant violation of all internationally accepted laws, agreements, and covenants.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs offers its sympathies to the families of the victims and wishes a speedy recovery for the injured.
