Deputy and Acting Foreign Minister Meets Iranian Ambassador to Kabul
KABUL – Deputy and Acting Foreign Minister Mirwais Nab met with the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Kabul, Bahadur Aminian, this morning.
Highlighting Iran’s place and significance in the Afghan foreign policy, Mr. Nab called Iran’s support to the Afghan peace talks important and talked about the latest developments in politics, security, and the Afghan peace talks.
Pointing out to the in-depth historic and cultural ties between the two fraternal nations, Mr. Aminian assured Deputy Minister Nab of Iran’s support to Afghanistan in various fields, particularly the Afghan peace talks leading to lasting peace and stability and an end to the war in Afghanistan.
Both sides discussed and exchanged views on convening joint economic committee meeting and strengthening and enhancing political, security, cultural, and border cooperation between Kabul and Tehran, calling it beneficial for the two nations.
