Dutch Ambassador Calls On Deputy Foreign Minister
KABUL – Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Mr. Idrees Zaman met in his office with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Mr. Ernst Albert Noorman, this morning.
The newly- accredited Dutch Ambassador to Kabul paid a courtesy call to discuss bilateral ties and issues of mutual interest.
Deputy Minister Zaman welcoming Ambassador Noorman to Kabul wished him a productive tenure.
He thanked the people and government of the Netherlands for their generous assistance to Afghanistan over the years.
The two sides discussed and exchanged views on a wide range of issues, including the progress in the ongoing peace process and related meetings of multiple trilateral frameworks in the coming year, as well as aspects of bilateral ties.
Deputy Minister Zaman briefed the Dutch Ambassador on the guidelines for the peace process, including the five-year roadmap providing for the various stages of the process.
The exchanges also focused on the role of the international partners and regional countries in the peace process.
