Foreign Minister Rabbani Makes His Way To Brussels To Address RSMCN
BRUSSELS — Minister of Foreign Affairs H.E. Salahuddin Rabbani left for the Belgian capital, Brussels, to attend the NATO-hosted meeting on Afghanistan.
One of the two-day NATO Foreign Ministerial meeting is dedicated to discuss important peace and security issues in Afghanistan.
Resolute Support Mission Contributing Nations (RSM) are represented by their respective Foreign Ministers at this important meeting. The December 5th meeting is due to bring foreign ministers of 41 countries and high-level representatives of international organizations together to table and discuss common interests and concerns related to Afghanistan.
The Afghan Foreign Minister will update his counterparts and the organizations’ reps on the status of progress in the ongoing Peace Process and related challenges, seeking renewed assurance of commitment and support for Afghanistan’s peace roadmap.
At the NATO Summit, July this year, leaders of the member and partner states renewed commitments to assist Afghanistan up until 2014. This meeting is to focus on progress and challenges.
