Foreign Minister Rabbani Meets and Discusses Bilateral Issues with His Pakistani Counterpart
KABUL – Minister of foreign Affairs H.E. Salahuddin Rabbani met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan H.E. Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Quraishi, this afternoon.
On the sidelines of the Afghanistan-China- Pakistan Foreign Trilateral Ministers’ Dialogue, Foreign Minister Quraishi called on his Afghan counterpart to discuss bilateral issues.
The two Foreign Ministers discussed a wide range of bilateral arrangements, including issues related to the three areas focused on at the trilateral meeting; namely Political Mutual Trust & Reconciliation, Development Cooperation & Connectivity, and Security Cooperation & Counter-terrorism.
As a part of the bilateral discussions, the Afghan Foreign Minister also raised with his counterpart the visa regime for the Afghan nationals.
The Pakistani delegation assured Foreign minister Rabbani of the new facilities to be constructed to this end and increased scale of visa issuance in the near future.
The two sides also discussed and exchanged views on mutual cultural diplomacy, including in the field of cricket, music and poetry.
