KABUL - Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic republic of Afghanistan H.E. Salahuddin Rabbani met with the Ambassador of the United States of America to Afghanistan, Mr. John Bass.
The US Ambassador expressed hope that the seventh round of negotiations between US Officials and Taliban representatives in Qatar would have desired results and be a starting point for Inter-Afghan Dialogue. He also stated that the United States emphasizes reaching agreement on all four key issues in the Doha Talks and there will be no agreement on single issue until there is a deal on everything.
Foreign Minister Rabbani also briefed the U.S Ambassador on his recent trip to Germany and talked of his discussions with German officials about their role in the peace process. The two sides discussed and exchanged views on the upcoming Presidential Elections and Inter-Afghan talks that is due to be held with the joint initiative of the Federal Republic of Germany and the State of Qatar in Doha on July 7-8.
Kabul – Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Mr. Idrees Zaman met with the Ambassador of Arab Republic of Egypt Mr. Hany Saleh Mustafa Ahmad.
The two sides discussed the expansion of bilateral relations, the Afghan Led and Owned Peace Process, upcoming Presidential Elections, recent trips of H.E. President of Afghanistan, and the current political situation in the country and region.

Chinese Ambassador Liu Jinsong condemned today’s terrorist attack in Kabul.
The two sides discussed bilateral cooperation, multilateral meetings on Afghanistan, the peace talks and upcoming presidential elections.
KABUL - The Office of the Spokesperson and Directorate General of Communication of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs held a press conference on the Afghan Foreign Minister's recent visit to Germany.
The Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mr. Sibghatullah Ahmadi, shed light to the journalists on the goals of the official visit of the Afghan Foreign Minister and added that the visit's main outcome was Germany's commitment to further facilitate and pave the way for peace talks and emphasis on keeping the achievements. Mr. Ahmadi also stated that the peace talks are in a very critical phase and we hope to witness good news soon. Mr. Ahmadi also announced the Afghan Government's willingness to hold the elections on its due date and the intra-Afghan talks to begin simultaneously with support of the German Government and other international partners of Afghanistan. He also added that Germany, Indonesia, and Uzbekistan have announced readiness to host the Intra-Afghan talks.
